To Walk Humbly Before the Lord

Ether 1-5 is a temple pericope.  In Ether 6, we get the history of the Jaredites, and promptly upon their arrival in the new world we are told that they were temple worshippers.  "Before the Lord" means that something happens in the temple (or otherwise where the Lord is present), and the progression towards the Holy of Holies through the temple is often described with the imagery of walking in paths (1 Nephi 8, for instance).
